Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a rain date?
No. There is no rain date for the 2013 fireworks.
I'm coming from out of town; I need directions to Warner Park.
You can find information and driving directions to Warner Park by visiting the Madison Parks Dept. website
Is there handicapped parking?
Yes, please enter Warner Park from the Northport Drive entrance - handicapped parking is available until the designated spaces are filled. We have an adequate number of handicapped parking spaces, but don't wait too late in the day. There is also handicapped seating (and h'cap accessible bathrooms) right near the Warner Park shelter house - see the map of Warner Park.
Can I park my RV in Warner Park?
No. Recreational Vehicles are not permitted in Warner Park.
Do you charge a fee to watch the fireworks?
No. The fireworks are free; however, to sustain Rhythm & Booms and continue the fireworks for next year, your generous financial support is very much appreciated. Volunteers will collect donations in the park on the evening of Rhythm & Booms, or you may send a tax-deductible donation to Madison Fireworks Fund, Inc., 2981 Cahill Main Suite 2, Madison, WI 53711. You can also contribute online through Paypal using your Paypal account, or your credit card.
How do I qualify to sit in the reserved VIP seating area?
The sponsors and donors who financially support Rhythm & Booms, along with the more than 300 volunteers who donate thousands of hours of time to help manage the event, are rewarded with a special seating area. If you are interested in purchasing a sponsor table, please see our VIP table page.
Can I bring my grill to Warner Park and cook my own food?
No. City ordinance states that grills are prohibited from the park on the day of Rhythm & Booms, including the Warner Park parking lot.
Can I bring my dog?
No. Due to large crowds, loud noises and the presence of food vendors on site, we ask that you leave your dogs/animals of any kind at home.
Why on Wednesday?
The City of Madison required that Rhythm and Booms be moved to a weekday in 2013 to avoid overtaxing city resources and strain on surrounding neighborhoods. Keep watching rhythmandbooms.com for details on future events.
