No Wake Zone
The Dane County Sheriff's Office is warning boaters of considerations to be made when on the water for the Rhythm and Booms celebration.

A slow / no wake ordinance will be enforced from sunset until midnight for all of Lake Mendota.

People using the locks should plan on delays and have patience, as there will be congestion. Also be aware that the lock usage fee will apply as usual.

Boaters should plan ahead by checking lights and other required equipment to insure that they are able to operate after dark.

Boaters are encouraged to use a designated, sober driver. Fines for operating a boat while over the legal limits (.08 or above) of intoxication can range from $250.00 to $500.00.
